While it’s a great start for Damien’s 2010 campaign, there are still 21 weeks remaining until the Club anoints its first ever AFL Dream Team champion.
Of the actual Lions players, Jed Adcock seems the most likely to seriously challenge for the Dream Team title. He scored 2,115 points to rank 65th overall among participants in the Lions’ league and was the second best performed side from within the Club.
Meanwhile, Justin Sherman (465th) and Ash McGrath (793rd) have plenty of catching up to do over the coming weeks.
On the field, Jonathan Brown proved the most valuable Lions player of Round One with 138 points. The Lions skipper took 14 marks and booted five goals in a dominant display to edge out equally impressive Jared Brennan who finished with 121 points.
Michael Rischitelli (114), Brendan Fevola (106) and Justin Sherman (96) rounded out the top five Lions scorers for the week.
