The Lions team that defeated the Thunder by 34 points in Darwin a fortnight ago has been bolstered by the inclusion of Claye Beams, Amon Buchanan, Jordan Lisle, James Hawksley and Elliot Yeo.
All five players return after being part of the senior team’s final match of the AFL season against the Western Bulldogs.
Buchanan, who was best afield in the Lions’ Qualifying Final win over Southport before his senior recall, announced his retirement last week and will be hoping his tenure at the Lions finishes on a high note.
Todd Banfield and Jared Polec have been ruled out through injury, while top-up players Josh Smith, Josh Stiller and Rhys Power have been omitted.
Jackson Starcevich, Smith and Power are the team’s emergencies.
Cheynee Stiller, who has played with the Reserves for most of the year, has been named as the team's Captain.
The Lions will field their maximum quota of 18 listed players, leaving room for just five top-up players.
Among those are Western Magpies trio Dave Cummins, Scott Clarke and Jack Fox who have been regular contributors to the team throughout their 2012 campaign.
Hyundai Lions Academy prospect Isaac Conway has also earned his spot in the side alongside Morningside’s Jesse Wallin, who made his Lions debut in the Semi Final in Darwin.
Of the 18 listed players in the Lions side, 12 have played senior AFL football in 2012 - Jack Crisp (10 games), Niall McKeever (9), Beams (8), Aaron Cornelius (8), Yeo (8), Patrick Karnezis (7), Lisle (5), Billy Longer (5), Hawksley (4), Stiller (3), Steve Wrigley (3) and Buchanan (1).
The remaining six players include Callum Bartlett, Justin Clarke, Sam Docherty, Josh Dyson, Sam Michael and Patrick Wearden.
