Rock solid Redden
Jack Redden has been the model of consistency in 2012, and Senior Coach Michael Voss expects no different this weekend against the Crows.
As Redden, 21, prepares to line up against the team he grew up supporting, Voss told Adelaide’s 5AA he believes that Redden’s presence will be a powerful weapon against a dangerous Adelaide midfield.
“His work rate is excellent - not only his ability to be able to win the ball, but to get on the burst and chase and harass and tackle, is something that is a real strength,” Voss said.
“We’ve got a group who is growing together, and a lot of them are only 21 years of age, so we’ve still got a fair bit of growth left in us.”
“That group, that midfield coming through is going to carry us for a long time.”
While Redden doesn’t generally get the same public accolades as teammates Daniel Rich or Tom Rockliff, he has sustained his outstanding 2011 form, where he finished third in the Club Champion award.
He is currently in the top three at the Club in key statistical categories including kicks, marks, total disposals, and tackles.

“He’s had a very solid year - his consistency is something that’s not often talked about,” said Voss.
“One of the things he provides is that he always turns up to want to play good football, so he doesn’t tend to go up and down too much.”
“He tends to provide a consistent performance, which is great from a coaches’ perspective because you always know what you’re going to get.”
