Friday night's clash between the Vodafone Brisbane Lions and the Western Bulldogs at Telstra Dome will be now shown in prime time on the Seven Network.Given the interest surrounding the 2007 AFL NAB Cup Quarter Final clash, Seven has decided to shift its programming and broadcast the match at 8:30pm in Brisbane - four hours earlier than it had initially been scheduled. While the match will still be delayed by two hours, Lions members and supporters in Brisbane will have the opportunity to watch the match at a more convenient time slot on free-to-air television. The match will also air at 8:30pm (one hour delay) in Melbourne for those Lions fans unable to attend the match at Telstra Dome.Lions Chief Executive Michael Bowers was thrilled with the news."This is fantastic news for our members and fans, and we applaud Channel Seven for picking up the ball and running with it," Mr Bowers said.Seven's programming and production head Tim Worner confirmed the schedule change last night."We are really pleased with the ratings of the first round and on Friday night all the other channels have movies on, so why not give the people of Queensland the chance to see what could be a really interesting match-up," he said.
