What’s it like playing alongside someone as great as Simon Black?
Ali from Redland (Queensland)

He’s a great player. We claim him as an honorary Indigenous player he is that good.

It’s his 250th match this weekend against Collingwood which is a real achievement. I’m sure all the boys will be out there playing for him.

Which do you prefer - Zoo or Ralph Magazine?
Robert from Sydney (NSW)

I like both. But I also don’t mind a bit of New Weekly every now and then.

It’s always good to catch up on all the celebrity goss and do their crosswords.

Hi Ash. Were you a Masterchef fan? If so, were you going for Poh or Julie? Do you think the right person won?
Mary from Melbourne (Victoria)

I was actually going for Justine. She was quite good looking - and a good cook too.

When you come to Perth to play the local teams here, do you get to spend much time with your family or is it all about the team?
Josh from Tapping (WA)

We do actually get some time to spend with family and friends - but not that much.

Our interstate trips are all about the team and doing everything right before the game. Because let’s face it, we’re there to do a job.

Has any team ever won the premiership undefeated?
Maddy from Shorncliffe (Queensland)

I don’t think so. But it looks as though the Saints could be a chance this year.

Who's the most annoying player at the Club? And if you were a girl, who from the team would you go out with?
Mitch from Cranbourne (VIC)

I definitely wouldn’t go out with Troy Selwood - he’s scary. I’d probably steer clear of any of the boys at the Club to be honest.

Do you like wearing the Number 9?
Mohammed from North Fitzroy (Victoria)

Yeah, I actually chose that number when I was drafted to the Club.

I had the option of taking Number 18, but didn’t like the look of the bloke who wore it before me…

Do you reckon Daniel Rich will win the NAB Rising Star award this year?
Bryce from West Moonah (Tasmania)

Maybe I’m biased, but I reckon he would have to be a shoo-in.

Hey Ash, after your role in the Cat-astrophy at the Gabba I'm thinking of changing your name to Ash McStar! Did you put something special on your cornflakes or are you just worried about all the talent ready to burst on the scene from the reserves?
Archie from Cape Woolamai (Victoria)

Ash McStar? It’s definitely better than ‘McHappy Meal’ which someone called me recently.

But the reason some of the boys are in good form at the moment is because the young fellas in the reserves are playing really well and keeping us all honest.
