MILESTONES
Lions defender Josh Drummond and midfielder Cheynee Stiller are both set to play their 50th AFL match this Sunday against Geelong at Skilled Stadium.

26 year-old Drummond was selected as the Club's QLD Zone Pick No.47 in the 2003 AFL Rookie Draft while 22 year-old Stiller was drafted to the Lions with QLD Zone Pick No.49 in the 2005 AFL Rookie Draft.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Despite the late withdrawals of Co-Captains Jonathan Brown and Simon Black through injury, the Lions matched it with their more fancied opponents from the opening bounce.

It looked as though an upset was brewing, but the reigning premiers suddenly hit the accelerator and kicked the final four goals of the match to run out eventual 27-point winners.

Joel Macdonald continued his blistering start to the year with an equal career-high 30 disposals while Jared Brennan showed his full bag of tricks playing in the midfield.

Tim Notting and Jed Adcock were prominent while the Lions' sole Captain for the match - Luke Power - shrugged a heavy Cameron Ling tag to be one of the team's best contributors.

Brownlow Votes: 3 - J. Bartel (Geel), 2 - L. Power (BL), 1 - J. Corey (Geel).

The Lions were held to their lowest ever score since the 1997 merger against Geelong at Skilled Stadium in Round 12 of 2007. The Lions kicked 5.5 (35) after being held goal-less in the first half. In fact, Geelong have held the Lions to their two lowest ever scores - both from matches at Skilled Stadium.

The Lions hold an impressive win/loss ratio against the Cats having won the first 10 matches between the two teams following the Club's merger in 1997. However, Geelong has won their past five matches against the Lions by an average margin of 43 points.

Jonathan Brown kicked seven goals in his last meeting with Geelong in 2007, equaling his own Club record for most goals by a Lions player against the Cats since the 1997 merger.

All-Australian Geelong forward Steve Johnson has polled six Brownlow votes and kicked a total of eight goals in his past three matches against the Lions.

The Lions have not won an away match since Round 8 of 2008.
