What was your most memorable season with the Lions?
Isabel from The Gap (QLD)

I’d say 2009 was my most memorable. We made the finals for the first time in a while, it was our first year under Vossy and I played some pretty good footy.

When you were 15-16 did you have to do any extra training ? if so what did you do ?
Jake from Yarrawonga (VIC)

Hi Jake, not really. The only extra training I did was kicking the footy with my mates down on the oval when I was supposed to be in class, but I wouldn’t recommend that to you.

Hey Ash, when you guys travel do you share rooms? Who is the most annoying team-mate to share a room with? Also, when you travel, what do you do with the time off before you play?
Mel from Indooroopilly (QLD)

We don’t share rooms, and probably if we did I would stay away from blokes like Daniel Rich or Toddy Banfield because they don’t stop talking. They’d always be asking for stuff and would probably buy movies and not tell you so you’d end up having to pay for them.

Hey Ash great tats mate i love the work, and i was wondering a friend told me you had to choose between Footy/Cricket as a kid is this true..?? Told me you were a fast bowler who was handy with the Bat..?? Go Lions..
Alan from Yeronga (QLD)

Hi Alan, you’re right, I did used to play a bit of cricket. The cricket team I could have played for were the premiers last year, but I’m glad I stuck with footy.

Hi Ash! Are there any special habbits the boys have before the game?
Irene from Calamvale (QLD)

Jack Redden stands in front of the mirror and pumps himself up a fair bit. When Shermo was here he used to spend ages in front of the mirror doing his hair and changing his boots about four times. Now that he’s gone, Brent Staker has really stepped up in that department. He makes sure every hair in is place and when he puts zinc on he makes sure he puts it on to best go with his complexion.

Do you think think its time yourself and Patfull made the move forward when Drummond and Maguire return to try something different ?
Mickey from Melbourne (VIC)

No, I don’t think we should change our back six. We work well together in defence.

Hi Boonj! Can you please tell Mitch Clarke and James Hawksley to get rid of the wild hair they've got going? It looks scruffy! Lets hope they dont get a beard going like Trav Johnstone's! That was horrid! What is Travis up to these days? Do you reckon another club will pick him up? Congrats on the birth of your little girl too! Hope everything is going well=)
Laura from Perth (WA)

Thanks Laura. Mitch has just had a haircut so he looks a bit better. I think the reason the guys don’t shave is that they can’t afford razors because they are always getting parking fines. Travis is doing well, he’s playing for Redlands now. He still has the beard so look out for him on the streets kicking over trash cans.

hey ash! do the boys often play pranks on one another? If so, which prank was the funniest?
Zarah from Mont Albert (VIC)

The boys don’t really play pranks anymore, we’ve got too many sooks on the team. If you played a prank these days, someone would go and dob.

Mal Michael used to be great. He used to steal guys’ letterboxes and cut down their hedges, so now the guys all have their letterboxes concreted in.

Hey Ash, hope your well. My friend Jarred is a HUGE fan of you, and he tells me you're his idol. Only problem is that he barracks for Carlton... Any ideas on how to make him switch over to the mighty lions ? P.S When is Karnezis going to debut ? Thanks heaps c:
Maddi from Melbourne (VIC)

Thanks Maddi, tell your friend Jarred he should come over and join the mighty Lions. Maybe we should get him a jumper. Patty Karnezis is going well in the reserves and won’t be too far away from getting his chance in the seniors.
