The Brisbane Lions will open their 2013 NAB Cup assault with a triangular battle against Hawthorn and Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.
The 2013 pre-season fixture, released by the AFL today, will also see the Lions face off against the GWS Giants in Wagga Wagga (Round 2), and Collingwood at Etihad Stadium (Round 3).
The Grand Final will take place on the evening of either Friday 15th or Saturday 16th March.
The fixture will follow a similar format to 2012, with each team playing a double header in Round 1 (held over two weekends), followed by regular time matches in Rounds 2 and 3.
Teams are allocated points for a win or draw (as in the regular home and away season), with the top two teams on the ladder moving on to the Grand Final.
