The Brisbane Lions have confirmed that the annual Club Champion dinner will be held on Friday 7 September in the Legends Room at the Gabba.

The Club’s ‘night of nights’ will bring players, coaches, staff and fans together to celebrate the season and award its highest achievers.

The Merrett-Murray Medal - the single highest Club honour that a Lions player can achieve - will be presented to the player deemed to be Best and Fairest for season 2012.

This year’s race is still wide open with a number of outstanding performers across the season, including last year’s top three - midfield trio Tom Rockliff, Simon Black and Jack Redden.

They could well face heavy challengers in their teammates, including Daniel Rich, Joel Patfull and Matt Maguire, who have also had stellar seasons.

A range of other individual awards will also be presented, including Rookie of the Year, Marcus Ashcroft Most Professional Player, Shaun Hart Most Courageous Player, Players’ Player of the Year and Members’ Player of the Year.

Tickets for the event are $170 per person, and include a three-course meal, premium beverage package, and live entertainment.
