Capping off an outstanding first year, Courtney Hodder has been nominated for Goal of the Year.
The livewire 21-year-old has been one of the league’s most dangerous small forwards, already collating a large highlight real in just her first season in AFLW.
Her goal of the year nomination comes after an impressive passage of play in Round 9 against Melbourne. In the second quarter, Hodder chased down a loose ball, beating two defenders before collecting the rolling ball and kicking truly from 40 metres out.
Hodder already won Round 8's Goal of the Week only 7 days prior to her efforts in Melbourne and recently added a Rising Star nomination to her already stellar season.
Brisbane will look for her electrifying pace and goal sense in this weekends Preliminary Final v Collingwood as the intimidating Lions team look for their first Grand Final berth since 2018.
