Lions playing list changes
The Lions have advised Robert Copeland, Wayde Mills, Chris Schmidt and Haydn Kiel that they will not be offered a position on the Club's playing list for Season
The decision came as part of the Football Department's list management and review process in preparation for 2009.
Copeland played 143 matches and kicked 39 goals during his eight year career with the Lions.
After being elevated from the Club's Rookie List midway through 2001, Copeland went on to become a member of the 2001 and 2003 premiership sides, the Lions Most Improved Player in 2004 and a two-time representative in the Queensland Team of the Year.
He was most recently recognised in 2007 as the Lions' Most Professional Player.
19 year-old Schmidt played two senior matches with the Club since being drafted from West Adelaide with selection No.34 in the 2006 AFL National Draft.
Mills played 16 senior matches and kicked three goals with the Club since being drafted with selection No.25 in the 2005 AFL National Draft while Kiel has spent the past two seasons on the Lions' Rookie List.
The Lions would like to thank Robert, Chris, Wayde and Haydn for their contributions to the Club and wish them well with their future endeavours.
