The Queensland Government announced an update to the Queensland COVID-19 Vaccine Plan to Unite Families from the Gabba today.
The new regulations mean that from 17 December Queenslanders who are fully vaccinated will be rewarded with live attendance at Queensland Stadiums.
However, as part of the new policy Queenslanders who aren’t fully vaccinated will no longer be able to attend Brisbane Lions matches.
This means that for Brisbane Lions members who choose not to get vaccinated, unless they hold a medical exemption, they will not be able to attend Lions games at the Gabba whilst this mandate is in place.
For affected Brisbane Lions members, the Club will allow members to cancel, and refunds will be facilitated should they be requested.
The Lions support the Government’s efforts to give freedoms to those who have been vaccinated whilst protecting those members of the community who are most vulnerable.
The Lions will work with the Government in the coming weeks to better understand the logistical aspect of the rollout of this policy.
