The Brisbane Lions are deeply saddened by the passing of long-serving Doorman, and loyal Life Member, Leo Coyne, who passed away yesterday morning after a long stay in hospital.
Coyne has long played a signifcant off-field role with the Brisbane Lions since back in the Bears days - starting with the Club from those early days at Carrara.
Even following the Club's move to the Gabba, he would travel to and from the Gold Coast every second weekend to man the door at Bears/Lions home games - a role he maintained until just 18 months ago when his health deteriorated.
The Club extends its deepest condolensces to Leo’s wife Jenny his family.
