Only a couple days remain for Lions fans to register their team for the 2010 AFL Dream Team competition and go head-to-head against some of the actual Lions players.

Registration is FREE and open until 5pm on Thursday 25 March. Simply click here to join the Club’s private Dream Team competition and start selecting your side.

Great prizes are up for grabs for the three top teams at the end of the regular season, although they will have to battle against more than 900 worthy opponents - including Lions players Ash McGrath, Justin Sherman and Jed Adcock.

McGrath has only just finished making the final adjustments to his Dream Team and was happy to divulge his secrets to Lions fans.

Which Lions players should Dream Team coaches keep an eye on in 2010?

The three ‘Baringa boys’ - Jack Redden, Tom Rockliff and man-child James Polkinghorne.

A dark horse would be giant carrot top Todd Banfield who has done really well so far this pre-season.

Which non-Lions players should Dream Team coaches keep an eye on in 2010?

Probably the two new young guys at the Sydney Swans - Lewis Jetta and Gary Rohan. From what I have seen during the pre-season, they seem to go alright.

Have you chosen yourself?

Yes. I figure as the captain/coach of Boonj’s Bandits that I had to at least put myself in the team.

What other Lions players do you currently have in your side?

Daniel Merrett (Defender) - The ‘Rusty Fist’ is reliable down back.

Joel Patfull (Defender) - I chose him because he has been a bit down in the dumps lately and I wanted to put a smile on his face.

Simon Black (Midfielder) - He is just a champion ball-winner.

Jack Redden (Midfielder) - One of the three ‘Baringa Boys’ in my team.

Mitch Clark (Ruck) - He’ll probably be fighting it out for a spot on my bench, but after last year’s effort I thought I would give him a go.

James Polkinghorne (Forward) - See Jack Redden.

Tom Rockliff (Forward) - See Jack Redden.

Where do you expect to finish in the Lions’ private Dream Team competition?

Number one. If I’m in it, I want to win it.

Who at the Club do you most want to beat at seasons end?

Worm’s Weasels (coached by Justin Sherman). Only because Worm is their coach and they will be a bunch of pretty boys.
