Kick-2-kick at the Gabba
Going along to see the Lions play at the Gabba has always been more than just a game of footy.
AFL is a fast paced, high scoring game that is best seen live. On top of the two and a half hours of football, the Brisbane Lions offer a great tradition for everyone who attends - the chance to get on the field after the game and have a kick with your family or mates.
Kick-2-Kick is often the highlight for many - from the very young to the young at heart.
Totally Wild presenter Pip Russell loves the game and brought her Dad along with her to watch the Lions' match against Melbourne back in Round 18 while ABC Grandstand presenter Quentin Hull also took time out from his match call to join a group of friends on the Gabba for a kick.
Media personality Victoria Carthew recently enjoyed a day out at the Gabba with her family for the Lions' last home game against Adelaide.
So be sure to finish off the 2010 AFL season with a great night out this Saturday night at the Gabba. And don't forget to bring your Sherrin with you and have a kick with your friends on the field after the final siren.
*Kick-2-Kick happens after every Lions game subject to wet weather.
