In his return from injury, captain Dayne Beams (MID, $591,000) was in superb touch against the Crows, collecting 144 points, which was the highest fantasy score of the match and 7th highest across the league for Round 9. Beams gathered a career-high 40 disposals, pushing his average output for the season to just over 30 disposals per match. Beams’ strong performance resulted in a $10,000 price increase.
Dayne Zorko (MID, $644,000) continues to hold his position inside the AFL Fantasy top 10 after amassing 119 points against the Crows, just up on his season average of 117.1 points per game. The classy midfielder kicked two goals and collected 26 disposals against the Crows.
Another solid performance by Stefan Martin (RUC, $613,000), securing 107 points, helped him to stay at the top of the AFL Fantasy rucks leader board. Martin averages six more points per round than the second placed Brodie Grundy of Collingwood, with the powerful Lions’ ruckman receiving a minor price bump of $1,000 ahead of Round 10.
After receiving a price increase of $26,000 following Round 8, Ryan Lester (FWD, $431,000) continues to increase in value, rising by another $22,000 after collecting 87 points against the Crows. Lester couldn’t trouble the scoreboard on Saturday, but he did keep busy collecting 23 disposals.
