Brisbane Lions key defender Kate Lutkins has been selected in the AFLW All Australian team for 2020.
Picked in the back-pocket alongside Adelaide’s Sarah Allen, the nod is Lutkins’ second after receiving the accolade in 2018 as well.
A superb defender, Lutkins is almost the perfect mix of being able to lockdown an opponent but also run off them and create offensively.
On top of her selection, Lutkins also won our most Iconic Mark and Goal of the year, voted by Lions Members and fans.
The team was announced ahead of Tuesday nights’ W Awards where the respective AFL Women’s Best and Fairest and the NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star awards will be announced.
The awards will be broadcast from 7:00pm AEST on FOX FOOTY, Kayo, womens.afl, the AFLW App, AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.
