Do you ever wonder what the players get up to during their holiday period?
Well, thanks to social media - and lions.com.au - fans can keep informed on what's happening away from the Hyundai Centre.
Lions.com.au caught up with each of the Club’s first year players to find out how they spent their two-week break over Christmas, and has also collected some of the more insightful holiday Tweets from some of the other Lions players.
Sam Mayes
It was great to get back and see the family. Once I arrived back home, we pretty much went straight on holiday down the York Peninsula in South Australia. It was good to get away, and catch up with the girlfriend as well.
Marco Paparone
I went back home to Perth, and went down south with the family for Christmas, then came back up and just hung out with friends and relaxed.
Michael Close
I went back home for most of the break, and went to South Australia for a bit. It was good to get back and see the family and friends again, have a relax, and just be away from the Club for a little bit.
Nick Hayes
It was awesome going home to see the family and friends. I didn’t really get to see too much of them before I headed up to Brisbane, because it all happened pretty quickly.
Jordon Bourke
I was only training with the Club for 3-4 weeks before the Christmas break, but it was still nice to get away from footy and spend some time with my mates again.
I just went down to the Coast for a couple of days, but other than that I just spent it with friends and family sort of relaxing and soaking up all the sun that we had.
