The Lions are headed 'Back to the 80s' on Tuesday 12 August for its Entertainment Gala & Auction extravaganza that will revive one of the most unique decades of our history.

The 80s is best known for its flash-in-the-pan fads, one-hit wonders, fabulous fashions and big hair - both on and off the footy field.

The Vodafone Brisbane Lions are asking you to join the players as we 'step back in time' and re-live the 80s in spectacular fashion at our 'way cool' Entertainment Gala & Auction.

The evening will commence with a pre-dinner cocktail party and silent auction as we get funky to some great jams courtesy of our fabulous 80s DJ who will have you spinning around the dancefloor.

The event will be headlined by special appearances from two of Australia's most successful music artists from the era - James Reyne (Australian Crawl) and Mark Seymour (Hunters & Collectors) - who will perform hits such as The Holy Grail, Throw Your Arms Around Me, The Boys Light Up and Down Hearted.

Tickets to the event include non-stop entertainment, a three course meal, select
beverages and the chance to mix-it-up with all the Lions players.

WIN A GRAND FINAL PACKAGE
Our annual gala event is the Club's single biggest fundraising initiative and would not be possible without the generous donations made by our many supporters each year.

As an incentive to our prospective donors, we are excited to offer those who have
provided a donation with a minimum recommended retail value of $2,000 entry
into the draw to win a Grand Final Package.

Because every donation is vitally important to the success of this event, the Club is
offering a further incentive by placing all contributors to the auction into a separate
bonus draw where the winner will receive the use of a 10-seat open air VIP box for
the Brisbane Lions v Carlton match in Round 21 at the Gabba.

In order to qualify for either draw, you must confirm your contribution with a pledge form to the Club by 5pm Friday 4 July 2008.
