The Brisbane Lions will now play reigning AFL premiers Geelong at 3pm this Saturday 6 March at Visy Park in Melbourne instead of Southport, as part of the NAB Challenge Series third round.

The extreme wet weather being experienced in South-East Queensland has made playing conditions too unsafe at Southport, so the venue change was announced by the AFL earlier this afternoon (Wednesday 3 March).

However, Lions members can still present their 2010 membership card at any Visy Park gate for FREE general admission access to the ground (subject to capacity).

Fans can also sign-up as members at the Brisbane Lions marquee located at Gate 5 of Visy Park from an hour before the game to gain this free entry as well.

These new and renewed members can also collect their 2010 membership cap by presenting the voucher that members receive in their packs.

General admission tickets are also available at the gates for the general public.

NB: Local Queensland fans will still have the opportunity to see the Lions live when they visit Southport on Friday 12 March at 3:30pm to take on 2008 premiers Hawthorn. It will be the Club's final NAB Challenge practice match.
