Last week, more than half my team didn’t play and I scored just a touch over 1,100, but the Polka Specials still managed to move UP the Lions League ladder.
This week, I make a few trades to bolster my score to 1,647, but somehow dropped DOWN the ladder.
My team’s MVP this week was clearly Dayne Zorko who racked up a team-high 140 points against the Hawks yesterday.
‘Tinka’ seemed to really enjoy his first ever game on the MCG and is certainly making the most of his AFL opportunity.
He’s no doubt been the best Dream Team buy of the year, having gone up more than $200K in only a few games.
If he keeps going along the way he has been, he might even be lucky enough to earn the Polka Specials’ Captain’s guernsey in the coming weeks.
There hasn’t been a lot of movement at the top of the Lions’ League, with LeueyLongerCombo still holding sway in front of Paul R Bears.
Wheildon Genius, meanwhile, was this week’s top scorer with 2,158! I think I’ll be checking out his side this week to see how he could possibly have achieved such a big score when six teams weren’t even playing.
POLKS’ TIP FOR THE WEEK
It’s easier said than done, but maybe just ride out the final Bye Round and try not to stress too much about it.
Come Round 14, everything will be back to normal.
But my other tip is to keep an eye on Gold Coast’s Gary Ablett. A quiet game by his standards a couple of weeks ago has his price dropping.
I’m likely to draft him into the Polka Specials on the eve of Round 14.
