Stefan Martin seems to have had little troubling settling into Queensland since being traded from Melbourne to the Lions during the off-season.
Martin, who is currently living with teammates Rohan Bewick and Daniel Rich, told Lions fans on Thursday that he loves his new lifestyle.
“I’m loving it up here (in Brisbane),” Martin said during his live chat on lions.com.au.
“The people are great, the weather is amazing, and the Club is great too. I feel lucky to be here at this great Club.”
“Queensland is a lot less hectic than Melbourne, and the weather is much nicer too.”
The 198cm utility also revealed that he’s most likely to assume a dual forward/ruckman role in 2013, and has worked hard on improving his running capability over summer.
“I think these days repeat speed is really important, so that's an area that I'm always looking to get better at,” Martin said.
Martin said he had been blown away by the performance of the Club’s recent draftees on the training track.
“Their running ability is amazing and put guys like me to shame.”
