THE BRISBANE Lions will try and run North Melbourne off their legs on Saturday.
The Lions lost their opening round clash to West Coast by 64 points, but returning vice-captain Dayne Zorko says they have lost no confidence and will play with flair against the Kangaroos.
North Melbourne flogged the Lions in two encounters last year by a combined 154 points.
The Lions kicked just 12 goals total in the two matches, but after topping the ton against the Eagles last week, Zorko says they will use their speed to turn the tables at the Gabba tomorrow.
"For any team that can go over to the west and kick 100 points against a team that played in the Grand Final last year is a really good effort," Zorko said.
"I don’t think we'll change too much going into tomorrow.
"We want to score, we want to make it entertaining for the fans, we need to kick a score to win - it's as simple as that.
"We've got a very young, energetic, fast team."
Zorko returns after missing round one through suspension, and is joined by his 'Mozzie Squad' teammate Josh Green who has overcome a stress fracture in his foot.
Zorko said the Lions had recapped the two humbling losses to the Kangaroos last season and would need to dominate contested ball before they could use their speed.
"You win contested ball, you generally win the game," he said.
"They're obviously a lot taller side than us.
"We've got Allen Christensen who is flying at the moment, Lewis Taylor, add Josh Green into the mix and hopefully we can worry North Melbourne."
