Each year as part of Multicultural Queensland month, the Brisbane Lions host a citizenship ceremony to welcome around 50 new Australian citizens.

It is a highlight of our annual calendar with conferees gaining citizenship and then enjoying Australia’s favourite game at the Gabba.
The conferees are welcomed to our community with a range of committed partners including the Queensland Government, Multicultural Australia, AFL Queensland and the Queensland Human Right Commission.

The Brisbane Lions celebrated a win both on and off field on Saturday night welcoming a host of new Australians. Working with Multicultural Australia and the Queensland State Government, the Lions endeavour to promote diversity and inclusion.
