Darcy Gardiner joined Michael Whiting and Lauren Arnell on The Roar Deal this week to chat about the Lions intra-club games, upcoming Marsh Community Series game against Carlton, and life without ex-Lion Lewis Taylor.
Speaking about the Lions' recent intra-club hit outs, Gardiner praised the work rates of some of the Lions NEAFL players.
"To be honest, I've been impressed with all of those guys I've just said...especially Sam Skinner, Tom Fullarton, and Connor Ballenden,
"It's probably the presence they have and their willingness to work hard...they've been very hard to play against as a defender", he said.
When reflecting on the Lions loss to Port Adelaide in week 1 of the Marsh Community Series, Gardiner admitted the Lions needed to approach their upcoming clash with Carlton on Sunday differently.
"(We need to) be a bit more attacking with the ball...take the game on a little bit more"
"Dizzy" also spoke briefly about his toughest ever matchups throughout his career. Tune in below to learn who made the list.
